AMAZON: DECEMBER TRIP REPORT

WRAY LERTORA

Don, how have you been? I enjoy receiving you newsletter.  Keep them coming.

I went back to the Royal Amazon during the first week of December. The fishing was even better than last year when we were there together. The water level was good when we first got there, and it dropped about 4 feet during the week which made the fishing excellent. Lots of sight fishing. We caught hundreds of fish during the week, with a couple of 13 pounders and many between 10 and 13. There were three 18 pound fish caught by others at the camp during the week.

I had another caiman swim over and grab a fish I was fighting. This time, I got the whole thing on video.  We overlapped a day in Manaus with Lance and Taff  from last years trip, so we went to dinner at Bufalo's.  We had a great time, and a lot of laughs. It was great to see them again.

I've included my new contact information below. Please update my e-mail address on your distribution list.

Best regards,

Wray Lertora
