COSTA RICA - PACIFIC COAST
COSTA RICA – PACIFIC COAST
Located on the Golfo Dulce on the Osa Peninsula is one
of the few upscale lodges in Costa Rica, Crocodile Bay.
The Osa Peninsula in Southwest Costa Rica has been
described by National Geographic as, “The most
ecologically intense place on earth.” The rain forests
of the “Osa” are only part of the attraction for a fly fisher.
The Pacific Coast waters offer up world class bill fishing
for Blue and Black Marlin and especially sailfish.
Dorado, Tuna, and Wahoo are also available offshore. The waters of the bay itself provide skip-jack tuna
and roosterfish as well as snappers, jacks, sierra mackerel, and bluefin trevally. While the billfish are “season sensitive,” the excellent rooster fishing is available year round.
This is an excellent location for a family or couples experience. There are many activities available built around the easy access to the rain forests plus other non-fishing activities as well. When available, there are two three-bedroom homes which can be rented for families or small groups. Additionally, there are 34 air-conditioned rooms.
A recent addition has been The Spa At Crocodile Bay, a 5,000 square foot facility that is Costa Rica’s newest and largest luxury spa.
